Screening for Plagiarism

Plagiarism Screening Before Publication
Journal of Decision Support Systems and Multi-Criteria Decision Making (JODESMA) conducts a final plagiarism and similarity screening before an accepted manuscript is published. This screening is performed to ensure that the final version of the manuscript complies with the journal's publication ethics and originality requirements.
Maximum Acceptable Similarity Index
20%
Manuscripts that exceed this threshold may be returned to the authors for clarification or revision before publication.
A similarity score below 20% does not automatically indicate that a manuscript is free from plagiarism. The editorial team may review the similarity report by considering the sources, context, type of overlap, attribution, and extent of the identified similarities.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the final manuscript contains appropriate citations and acknowledgments and does not include unattributed use of another person's intellectual work.
The final plagiarism screening is conducted before publication, and only manuscripts that satisfy the journal's plagiarism and originality requirements will proceed to publication.
