Editorial Guidelines

 

The editorial activities of Journal of Decision Support Systems and Multi-Criteria Decision Making are guided by principles of fairness, academic integrity, confidentiality, transparency, and editorial independence. These guidelines provide a consistent framework for handling manuscripts from submission through editorial decision and publication.

1. Scope and Academic Relevance
  • Manuscripts should address topics within the journal's aims and scope.
  • The research should demonstrate an identifiable academic or scientific contribution.
  • The manuscript should present a clear research problem, appropriate methodology, and meaningful findings.
2. Fair and Objective Evaluation
  • Manuscripts should be evaluated on their scholarly merit.
  • Editorial decisions should not be based on author identity, affiliation, nationality, gender, religion, or other unrelated characteristics.
  • Editors should consider reviewer comments objectively and independently.
3. Confidentiality
  • Submitted manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Editors should not disclose manuscript content or editorial correspondence to unauthorized individuals.
  • Reviewer identities and confidential reviewer comments should be appropriately protected.
4. Conflicts of Interest

Editors and reviewers should disclose relevant conflicts of interest and should not participate in decisions where their impartiality may reasonably be questioned.

5. Publication Ethics

Editors should respond appropriately to suspected plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, authorship disputes, and other ethical concerns in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
