Publication Malpractice Statement

 

Journal of Decision Support Systems and Multi-Criteria Decision Making is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and responsible scholarly publishing. All manuscripts are expected to comply with established principles of research and publication ethics throughout submission, peer review, editorial evaluation, revision, and publication.

The journal considers publication misconduct to include, but not be limited to, plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, undisclosed conflicts of interest, unethical research practices, manipulation of the peer-review process, and misuse of confidential information.

Ethical Standards
  • Research must be conducted honestly, responsibly, and in accordance with applicable ethical standards.
  • Manuscripts must present original scholarly work and accurately acknowledge the contributions of others.
  • Research data, methods, analyses, and findings must be reported accurately.
  • Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest.
  • Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and maintain confidentiality.
  • Editors must make decisions independently and fairly.
  • All parties must cooperate with reasonable investigations of suspected misconduct.
  • The journal may take corrective action when ethical or publication concerns are identified.
Handling Ethical Concerns

When credible concerns are raised, the Editorial Office may conduct a preliminary assessment, request clarification or supporting documentation, consult reviewers or relevant experts, and where appropriate communicate with the authors' affiliated institution or other responsible authority. Editorial actions are determined according to the seriousness and evidence associated with the concern.
