Journal of Decision Support Systems and Multi-Criteria Decision Making supports a Publish as You Go model to make accepted articles available online without unnecessary delay. Articles that have completed the editorial process, peer review, revision, and final production stages may be published online as soon as they are ready.
The Publish as You Go approach allows individual articles to become accessible before the formal issue publication date. This provides earlier access to research findings while maintaining the journal's regular publication schedule of November, March, and July.
Once an article has successfully completed peer review, editorial evaluation, revision, proofreading, and final production, it may be published online individually when it is ready. Readers can therefore access the article before the complete issue is formally released.
Each article published through the Publish as You Go model receives its permanent bibliographic information, including the article title, authorship details, publication date, volume and issue information when assigned, and Digital Object Identifier (DOI) where applicable.
Online publication does not replace the journal's regular issue publication. Articles published ahead of the issue remain part of the journal's formal publication record and are assigned to the appropriate volume and issue according to the editorial publication schedule.
Publish as You Go facilitates earlier dissemination of research, allowing authors to make their findings available sooner and enabling readers and researchers to discover, cite, and use published research without waiting for the complete issue to be released.
